How can I get away from my sugar addiction?
MissM
I eat way too much sugar and it is definitely an addiction. I have very strong cravings that I have a hard time quelling. Any tips on ways to overcome this addiction (preferably not just telling myself to stop eating it since I haven’t been too good at that method)?

Think of the consequences. Write down the consequences of eating too much sugar that will affect you later. Like diabetes. When you see that, you will make more mature decisions.

I guess it could be different for different people, but you could try gradually lowering your intake. Rather than stop eating it all at once, take away a bit at a time. (Like, if you eat eight bags of a candy a day, take away one bag every week or so until you come upon a much more reasonable intake) .
You won’t see much of a difference right away, but in the long run things would probably improve…(but, like I said, it may be different for others).
